The Al-Aashiqeen Islamic Development Trust (AIDT) was informally initiated on the 27th of June 2010, (Rajab 1431), and registered on the 13th of July 2011 (Rajab 1432), as a Trust.
Allah says in the Qur-aan, Surah Ali-Imraan: 31
“Say, (0 Mu’hammad), if you do love Allah, follow me: Allah will
love you and forgive you your sins. For Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most-Merciful.
“Say, (0 Mu’hammad), ‘Obey Allah and His apostle, but if they turn back, Allah does not love those who reject faith’. “Verily, Allah loves the righteous.”
Allah is the source of all goodness, love and power. Through love for Allah, Allah will make it easy for the righteous in this life and hereafter.
Allah is the One who loves us and offer us all we have, e.g. Al-Islam, guidance, family, health, wealth etc. Therefore the object of one’s love should be Allah.
Fear of Allah, and hope in Allah leads to love of Allah. Therefore, the desire to avoid doing anything against the Will of Allah is the same desire to trust in Allah and to have love for Allah.
Love for Allah will consequently result in love for Rasulullah, Islam, and everyone and everything that is pure and good.
This love, make one an ‘Aashiq, singular for’Aashiqeen “those who love Allah much, to such a degree that Tau’heed is firmly rooted within themselves, which bring about Tasleem (submission), ‘ilm (knowledge), Iglaas (sincerity) and Sidqu (truthfulness).
Thus the name Masjid Al-Aashiqeen.
